(麻烦过审,求你了,我只是想交期末作业给老师看)The main story begins the day before the trial of a rape case. After Natalie Savage, the defense attorney, finishes the meeting with her client John Chou, she goes to the scene of the crime, searching for evidence. During this time, she meets Evelyn Lawson, the prosecutor who happens to oversee the case. Under Evelyn's guidance, Natalie goes to the victim's home. Trinity Foster (the victim) had her memory altered to cover up the traumatized experience, believing that she had not been forced to have sex with John, which didn't fit with much of the evidence Natalie found. As a result, Natalie goes through a day of investigation and concludes that John is the one who raped Trinity. Therefore, she is no longer willing to plead not guilty, but she is forced to due to the cost of her mother's surgery. In the evening, Natalie invites Evelyn to a pub, where they discuss professional discipline and moral dilemmas.
